AI Assistant
Review a page, optimize titles, headings and meta descriptions for the searches AI assistants run, and get new prompt and search query ideas.
Content review
Score a page — or a draft you haven't published yet — against Google's and Bing's guidance for AI answers. The review judges originality, clarity, verifiability and whether the content is written for people rather than for bots, and lists specific findings on what to improve.
- Review a single page, or review all pages from your site audit in one go. Each page uses one credit; if you have fewer left, only that many pages are reviewed.
- Findings are written in the language of the app.
- The content score is also shown next to the page in the Site audit, so you find the technical results and the content review in one place.
Content review complements the site audit: the audit checks whether AI can read a page, the review checks whether the page is worth citing.
Which of your prompts the content answers
When you review a single page or a draft, we also check it against all your brand's active prompts (up to the 100 newest). It is the same check as in Citation X-ray, turned around. Citation X-ray compares many pages with one prompt, while the content review compares one page with all your prompts.
The report has two tabs: Rating (the review itself) and Prompts. The Prompts tab sorts your prompts into four groups:
- Answers the prompt
- Partly answers
- Off-topic (collapsed)
- Could not check: a prompt we couldn't judge is never counted as off-topic.
For prompts the content answers, you also see whether it is Quotable (it states concrete facts an AI assistant can cite) or Generic. Each prompt links to its Citation X-ray.
Use it before you publish a draft, to see which prompts it covers and which still have no page answering them. Reviewing all pages from the site audit at once checks the rating only, not the prompts.
Site optimization for AI search
Site optimization rewrites page titles, headings and descriptions so the searches AI assistants run can find your pages. Each analysis uses one credit.
Ideas for prompts and search queries
The AI Assistant suggests new prompts and search queries to track, grouped by topic and based on your brand and what you already track.
- For prompts, set how detailed they should be, from all short questions to all detailed, and optionally tailor them to what you offer. See Generating prompts.
- For search queries, choose the phrasing: terms typed into Google, questions asked of an assistant, or both.
Choose the market and the language. The ideas are written in that language, and accepting them keeps it: Google AI Mode later uses it as its language setting on those prompts, and Google and Bing use it on those search queries. The other engines follow the text. See Prompts and topics.
Accept the ideas you want with one click. Discarded ideas won't be suggested again. Each idea has a Copy button.
Generated content
The AI Assistant can also write text for you: a blog post, an FAQ, a Wikipedia or Reddit draft, and the llms.txt and robots.txt files. You choose the language it writes in. That choice is not tied to a market, because the text is not run against a search engine.
Credits
Each content review, each site optimization and each batch of ideas uses AI Assistant credits from your monthly allowance. A site optimization uses one credit, returned if the analysis fails. Deleting a finished result doesn't return the credit — the work has already been done. See Plans, runs and limits.
